Kolob Reservoir Road 45 miles (72 km) With photo stops this backway takes about two hours to travel.


Mojave Desert/Joshua Tree Road 16 miles oneway 30 min.
The Mojave Desert/Joshua Tree Scenic Backway starts in desert terrain populated with Joshua trees in the northern reach of the Mojave Desert. It travels north through hilly desert landscapes along the Beaver Mountain Range to its end in Shivwits, about 13 miles west of St. George. Beautiful wildflowers add to the scenery in summer.


Snow Canyon Road 7 miles oneway 45 mins.
Snow Canyon Road Scenic Backway travels through Snow Canyon State Park between Ivins and Hwy 18. It features three mile long Snow Canyon with its colorful sandstone cliffs, twisted rock formations and lava flows.


Zion Park Scenic Byway 54 miles oneway 1 1/2 hours
The Zion Park Scenic Byway traverses beautiful red rock scenery along the Virgin River from the town of Hurricane and into Zion National Park. Shortly after entering the park, the road climbs steep switchbacks out of Zion Canyon through interesting slickrock formations and some long tunnels in the eastern portion of the park. .
