Description
Bear Creek Canyon Loop Trail is a great workout for intermediate riders and above, featuring a climb of more than 2200 feet in the first 4.5 miles. Bear Creek Canyon Loop Trail traverses part of the historic 1873 Road to Pikes Peak, the original primitive roadway to the summit of the now famous Colorado Fourteener.
Bear Creek Canyon Loop is comprised of singletrack, gravel and dirt roadways that travel through pine forest. Several technical sections along the way add challenge to the ride.
Navigation on back roadways can be tricky, but riders can easily find the way for Bear Canyon Loop by taking a right at every trail junction along the way. The trail eventually ends up on High Drive for a quick ride back down the roadway to the parking area.
