Description
Adjacent to Currant Creek Campground this delightful little loop trail is perfect for the entire family. Just over one mile in length, signs along the trail explain the natural habitat of the area.
Expect some elevation gain on this hike, making difficulty moderate. Benches are provided along the trail to catch your breath and enjoy the scenery. From the highest point, scenic views of Currant Creek Reservoir below and red sandstone cliffs to the east are thoroughly rewarding.
The trailhead can be accessed from the lower loop of Currant Creek campground. To reach Currant Creek, follow US Hwy 40 southeast of Heber City 40 miles to the Currant Creek turnoff. Follow this gravel road another 17 miles around Currant Creek Reservoir to the campground. The trailhead is located in Loop D of the campground, where parking and restrooms are available.
