Description
This section of the River is hidden between Interstate 84 and the Historic Union Pacific Railroad. One does not think about recreational possibilities except maybe fishing because the river itself is nestled in the wooded canyon bottom. Don’t be fooled by what you can’t see, there is plenty of beauty and excitement.
The length of trips very from an hour and a half to two hours depending on water levels. One can experience this outing on their own or there are some outfitters that offer trips. Trips can be booked with transportation from Park City or just be met at the put in near Henefer. Different food options are available ranging from deli lunches to evening barbecues.
Another fun idea is to package a Mountain Bike Trip with the River Adventure. These trips meet in Park City and then travel the historic Rails to Trails to Wanship Utah.
A most attractive benefit is the travel time from the Watsatch Front. The starting point for the river trip is a short sixty minutes from Salt Lake City.
