Description
This strenuous uphill ride climbs a dirt road through Pine Creek Canyon to crest the high ridges of the Wasatch Range. The road forks near the ridge leading into either Park City or Brighton Ski Resort. The seven-mile one-way climb to the summit makes for an exciting long downhill ride back to the bottom.
The road is mostly gravel with some steep drop-offs and is rated as an intermediate ride. The fall colors are spectacular in this canyon and the access into Brighton and Park City make this a popular scenic drive; be cautious of motor vehicles traveling the road. Several side trails that may require some route-finding branch off the main road for more advanced bikers.
To access Pine Creek Canyon, stay to the right past the park visitor center and travel northwest into the Canyon.
